Guild Wars CH 4 Info Please
Hello,
I have ran into and meet alot of nice people in the GW world. I have talked with many hours on end about GW related issues. While GW is a wonderful game and remains a wonderful game. Olders players are running out of fun things to keep occupied with. I now myself and others I have talked to need something to keep us going something to look foward to. I know the fact a new game coming out soon is something......but more info is needed....please do not wait until 2 weeks before release to let something out. I know many I play with will be gone by that time and the release date is for April.
Alot of people will not agree with me but I think a little glimmer of something may help the older gamers stick around.
Thank you for your time.
Zelda,
feel free to call me a stupid......and such

They release info when their ready.
But I feel this is the fault of people finishing the game too quickly. Often because they play the game too much 10-12+ hours.
Me and plenty of my guildies still have tons to do in Nightfall and the last two chapters.
People will leave, and many of those same people come back again. Time and time again.

Search often doesn't work for some people
As much as I would like information on the next chapter, and I see the OPs point, I don't feel I'm gettin gbored at all, despite having taken 7 characters through elona, with a couple more on the way. My brother decided on a solution to this problem...he's having a dedicated character slot just for starting a new character again and again...that way, when he gets bored he can just...start afresh...delete...rinse and repeat. Good idea I think...and then I can buy all his monastry credits off him!
My solution to the boredom problem is working on titles. My Ele is my "Title Collector" and currently has Kind of a Big Deal...so People Know Me is the next one to work towards. During the "dead time" between campaigns (not my words...i don't think it's "dead time") I also work on giving my characters the nicest looking armor I can (not always prestige armor ) Then when I'm bored either farming or title collecting I'll help people...either friends online or I'll stand in The Marketplace offering help with Mayhem in the Market...then go on to do Vizunah Square with people if they want it...I love that mission...

I know what you mean but finding less and less things to do, but I always find things though.
Have you capped all elites?
Have you finished all quests?, even ones in explorable areas and depend on other quests.
What I'm into these days is doing all the vabbi quests to get as many trade contracts so I can get vabbi armor for my neglected paragon
But yeah, I wish we have more info about ch4

My sentiments are pretty much the exact opposite.
Even though I concentrate on only 3 of my 11 characters I feel that I'm far from done with the game. In all three campaigns I still have plenty of things to do, even if I count only my main characters, and even though I pretty much ignore PvP completely.
Actually, I hope that C4 will be delayed, to give me more time to complete various tasks in Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. I'm hoping for a release not end of March (which would be the date according to ANet's 6-month-cycle), but later this year, in summer or autumn. If ANet really release in March I may even skip one chapter and stick to the old ones.

Basically the same Tetris.
My life is a big part of stuff right now, and I don't have all the greatest time to run through the game like other people (unfortunately) do.
And, I have a total of four other characters I've not even touched yet and would like to pull them through everything. But, I do know that the Fouth one will likely be done before I get a chance, but that's fine. I'll have to do what I did before, and just keep playing the other three untill I complete what I wanted to complete (In those cases, capturing all Elites of the two campaigns and pulling my Mesmer through Cantha before playing Elona.)

Maybe that was true for Factions, maybe a little for Nightfall, but I truly believe chapter 4, or maybe 5 will possibly be the last one. People may come back, but the longer people are gone from GW the more rooted they become to whatever they've started playing/doing, and the more committed they will be.
Thus, with GW's steadily declining population (at least in a pvp perspective) and longer away times for players in the offseason (I personally started playing WoW), the incentive to continue playing GW's expansions will inevitably fail to pique a person's interest, at least enough to tear them away from whatever they decided to move on to. Ergo the generated revenue would eventually not be able to justify the cost to make new expansions...probably.
This of course is my opinion, based on what I've seen in the american pvp community, but if you look at the guild ladder, the Asian community has clearly found new interests as well.

The only way that GW is going to win back some of there more popular players is if they get everything right with this chapter. This chapter is the turning point and if they get it right many players will come back from playing WOW and all that other stuff. i know i came out of an early retirement from gvging and such just so that i could check out nightfall. if the creators of factions can make a comeback with this game and bring all the ppl back from WOW i will be greatful to them.

Aw cmon zelda I know the game has gotten stale in some parts so my next adventure is suvivor 3 and loving it. I also you you have had KoaBD halfway when factions was released and have done alot on many professions. I suggest doing some competitive PvP to stall while you wait on chp 4

Oh noes!!! Please dont ruin the surprize!! /goodgod....
Simply do something to hold interest, I roughly have 279 things written down that would vastly improve certain areas....but does that matter? Hell no... I've played this game for 22 months now...does that matter to anyone? Hell No. Make the older gamers happy? Hell No..........why? Cause the new games arent expansion packs..... but.....Stand Alone games,
If Joe Slum over here has played 22 months so what? <--isnt market target
Little Timmy Snot nose here has $50 bucks from grandma Georgetta.....<---IS
Why? Cause the games arent exp. So is doesnt matter if the same people buy the game or not, they only need new sales.....
Loose a 1000, add 10, 000 little timmys
Sorry,

heh, I'm in a similar situation. At the rate I'm playing, and at the rate Anet is releasing new chapters, I'll be playing this game for another 20 years before I finish all my goals.. but still, if they feel that they can keep up their 6-month schedule, they will release it on time, because they apparently need the revenue every 6 months.
